Braidwood Showground parkrun

08/10/2026

Hi all, just a reminder that there is no parkrun tomorrow 10th October or the following weekend, 17th October.

See you when we return on 24th October!

Despite some poor weather we had a great time on the weekend, some of us even wore tutus for parkrun’s 22nd birthday!

Thank you to visitor volunteer Sean for taking some of these photos, and to visitor volunteers Lucie & Michael for doing scanning & tokens 🙌

Enjoy the next couple of weekends as we take a break while other events are on at the Showgrounds, and we’ll see you back on the 24th October.

P.S. Apologies for posting these a bit late 😅

This weekend marks 22 years of parkrun, so we invite anyone to wear a tutu to our parkrun! At least a couple of our event team members will be - and it will be a extra way to enjoy our event before we take a 2 week hiatus

Tutus at the ready!

Did you know that when parkrunday falls on the 22nd of the month, it becomes Tutu Day?

So, for our 22nd birthday, we want to go one step further with a sea of tutus at parkrun this weekend.

Who’s in? 🧡

🚨 No parkrun on 10th, 17th & 31st October 🚨

We've been absolutely LOVING our springtime events, and judging by our recent attendances, so have you! Which makes it all the more sad for us to have to share that due to the Showgrounds being used for other events, we have to cancel 3 of our next 5 events:

parkrun ON: 3rd + 24th October
parkrun OFF: 10th, 17th & 31st October

So come on out this Saturday morning (a long weekend!) and enjoy a walk, jog or run around the Showgrounds before a couple of weeks off.

Second batch of photos from this weekend

Another lovely morning at the Showgrounds with a great group of locals and visitors making the most of spring time! This first batch of photos is courtesy of a wonderful visitor volunteer, Louisa. A big thank you to Sarah, David and Zac for visitor volunteering too! 🙌

A beautiful morning yesterday saw a mix of visitors and locals take in the splendour of the Showgrounds. Come join us sometime!

Finally, a parkrun morning without frost! What started as a relatively clear morning with a hint of sun, turned into a thick, foggy soup! Very dramatic conditions for a finish. Thank you to everyone who came along!!

Yet another frosty morning at the Showgrounds, but it was a pleasure to have a group of locals and visitors to share it with. See you next weekend - will it break our (park)run of frosty starts?
