A free, weekly 5km walk/jog/run at 8am every Saturday. Open to all ages & abilities. Organised entirely by volunteers. Friendly and fun.

Finally, a parkrun morning without frost! What started as a relatively clear morning with a hint of sun, turned into a thick, foggy soup! Very dramatic conditions for a finish. Thank you to everyone who came along!!

It was a pretty brisk morning, but it was a pleasure for us to be able to celebrate Mark’s 50th parkrun, which he saved up especially for Braidwood! Well done Mark!!

🎉 WE’RE BACK 🎉

After much disruption (some expected, some unexpected) the Showgrounds are available and we will be back, walking, jogging and running at 8am tomorrow morning! Our friendly group of volunteers can’t wait to welcome you back.

See you tomorrow morning, 7:45am for the pre-run brief.

Cancelled again 😢

As you might’ve figured from the lack of updates, the works at the Showground are not yet completed and so the grounds are considered too unsafe for parkrun to proceed tomorrow. However! The silver lining is that we’ve been told we can probably get going again next Saturday! So watch this space for hopefully some good news!!

CANCELLED AGAIN ❌ - 13/06/2026

Apologies to anyone who saw our earlier post this morning…

We’re very sad and frustrated to make this update but earthworks are being performed at the Showgrounds and they have to be closed over the weekend due to open trenches and the obvious safety risk that imposes. We’re very sorry (and a bit embarrassed) to have to walk back what should have been a joyous return after much interruption but we only found out about the works after one of our team visited the Showgrounds 😫

We wish we could promise a return the following weekend but once (or twice, or three times…) bitten makes one feel a bit shy - with little information about the nature of the earthworks, we can’t say much at this stage.
