🏊‍♀️ What a fantastic way to finish the swim season! 🏊‍♂️

Last night we celebrated a wonderful Braidwood Swimming Club Presentation Night with our swimmers, families and supporters. It was a great opportunity to recognise the effort, improvement and sportsmanship shown by our swimmers throughout the season.

A big congratulations to all of our trophy and award winners, and well done to every swimmer who received their season medal. Your enthusiasm, determination and team spirit make our club such a special community.

🏊‍♀️ Reminder: Swim Club Presentation Night Tonight! 🏊‍♂️

A quick reminder that our Braidwood Swimming Club Presentation Night is on tonight from 5pm at the Braidwood Servicemens Club.

We’ll be celebrating our swimmers with perpetual trophies, club awards and medals.🏅
🍽 Dinner afterwards – roast beef & gravy rolls, salads, potato bake and cupcakes.

It’s a great chance to celebrate a fantastic season together. We hope to see all our swimmers and families there!

A huge thank you to the Men’s Shed for generously donating these fantastic awards to our club – we truly appreciate the support for our swimmers and community. 🙌

🌧 Club Night Cancelled 🌧

Due to the steady (and very welcome!) rain across our region, there will be no swim club tonight.

While we’re always keen to be at the pool, we know how much our rural community needs this rain — so we’re grateful to see it falling.

🏊‍♂️ Next Monday, 9 March will be our final club night for the season, running as a normal club night (weather permitting). We’d love to see all our swimmers there to finish the season together.

🏊‍♂️ Swimmer of the Week – Rudy! 🏊‍♂️

Congratulations to Rudy, our Swimmer of the Week!

Rudy brings such a pleasant nature and wonderful enthusiasm to every Monday night. He is progressing very quickly, and it’s been fantastic to watch his skills and confidence grow in the pool. His positive attitude makes him a valued member of our swim club.

Rudy prefers not to have his photo shared on social media, and we’re proud to respect his wishes while still celebrating his achievement.

🏊‍♂️ Swimmer of the Week – Lucas! 🏊‍♂️

Congratulations to Lucas, our Swimmer of the Week!

Lucas consistently pushes himself at swim club nights and it has been fantastic to see his noticeable progress week after week. His willingness to challenge himself in every session are really paying off. Keep up the great work, Lucas – we’re very of you!

A big thank you to Kristy McBain MP for generously supporting our swimmers with a $10 cash award to accompany this recognition. Your support makes a real difference in encouraging our young athletes.

🌟 Swimmer of the Week – Alexis 🌟

Congratulations to Alexis, our Swimmer of the Week!

Alexis brings such a friendly, energetic and polite presence to the pool each week. She approaches training and race nights with enthusiasm and a great attitude, and it’s been wonderful to see her steady progress in the water this season.

Keep up the fantastic work, Alexis – we love having you as part of our club! 👏🏊‍♀️

🌟 Swimmer of the Week – Lewis 🌟

A big congratulations to Lewis, our Swimmer of the Week!

As one of our more senior swimmers, Lewis consistently shows fantastic effort at training and on race nights. You can clearly see how much he loves swimming – he gives everything a go and keeps working to improve.

Lewis is also a wonderful role model for our younger swimmers. His calm presence, positive attitude and steady commitment set a great example for everyone around him.

Well done, Lewis – we’re very proud of you! 👏🏊‍♂️

Final Mini Squad Training – Monday 4–5pm 🏊‍♀️

Just a reminder that we have one more Mini Squad training session for the season, tomorrow (Monday) from 4:00–5:00pm.

While our kickboarders had lots of fun last week, this final session will focus on stroke correction and technique refinement as Coach Ellie prepares to head back to uni. We’d love to make the most of her expertise and give swimmers some valuable technical feedback before the break.

Please note this session won’t be suitable for kickboarders, as the focus will be on stroke development.

Looking forward to finishing the Mini Squad season strong! 💙
