Well-being Cafe group and volunteer summer trip to Liverpool ☀️

On Friday 31st July the Well-being cafe members and volunteers headed to Liverpool to the Black-E Community Arts and Culture Centre to celebrate the Windrush Generation 🙌🏿

The highlight was a lively intergenerational session where the Elders shared their experiences of arriving in the UK from the Caribbean with the local children, whilst sharing special moments through movement, dance and a delicious Caribbean meal!

We met with Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS FT at our July 2026 Community Engagement and discussed ways patients and loved ones can advocate for better care, as part of their Patient Experience and Engagement Strategy 2023/2028.

Windrush Day Celebration

🎉Last month, on June 22nd, the Well-being Café group came together to celebrate Windrush Day with a wonderful day of culture, connection, and celebration.

Our elders enjoyed a great programme of entertainment, an inspiring presentation from the curators at the Liverpool Museum, and, of course, a delicious Caribbean meal that brought everyone together. ❤️💛💚
