Today, the Running Guy visited Boort to check out our parkrun. He is ticking off one parkrun at a time, completing Cohuna parkrun and Pyramid Hill Golf Trail parkrun as well.

The morning dawned at just five degrees,
Wrapped in fog that drifted through the trees.
The course lay hidden, quiet and still,
Yet determined spirits gathered with will.

The chilly air gave quite a surprise,
But so did the number before our eyes.
Thirty-nine brave souls answered the call,
Proving a little cold can't stop us at all.

A warm welcome to eleven new faces,
Joining our community and sharing our spaces.
We hope today's run is just the start,
Of many more Saturdays close to your heart.

Seven runners found another gear,
Claiming personal bests to celebrate and cheer.
Through mist and frost, with smiles so bright,
They chased their goals in the morning light.

So here's to the volunteers who made it all run true,
And to every walker, jogger, and runner too.
No matter the weather, the season, or the sky,
The Nolens Park spirit continues to fly.

We'll see you next Saturday when the sun may shine - or not at all, Because it's the people who make parkrun special, answering the call.
