BJE recently hosted Australian Jewish educators in Sydney for the inaugural Rabbi Sacks Torah V'Chochmah Experiential with support from the JCA NSW/ACT Esther and Zorach Balkind Fund.

Many of these educators — including our own BJE teachers — visit public schools each week, bringing Jewish learning, identity and belonging to students across the country. 🙌

Together they explored Rabbi Sacks' teachings and started shaping new ways to inspire the next generation to live meaningful Jewish lives.

BJE is proud to support this important work in Jewish education across the community. ✨

Our students made a simple apple crumble from scratch — crushing biscuits, layering apple and marshmallow, and having the best time doing it! 😄

A delicious (and delightfully messy!) way to start getting excited for the New Year. 🎉

It's been a busy few weeks at the after-school Hub! 🎉

Students have been getting to know our new Shinshinim and educators 🤝, learning about the mitzvah of giving while decorating Tzedakah boxes 💙, and creating moral compass crafts centred around Jewish values like derech eretz and honouring your parents 🧭✡️.

They've also been expanding their Hebrew vocab by designing Hebrew signs for the Hub! 📝🇮🇱
