What an amazing evening attending “Silenced” last night and then a Q and A with these four incredible women!

It’s hard to believe that in 2026, so many women are still unable to talk about their experiences because of the broken systems that allow abuse to continue.

Only with continued advocacy and education can we hope for change! 💪🏻💜

Our CEO, Rachael Lloyd, was recently interviewed by Jaimee Rogers on her News24 Australia show, discussing the ongoing epidemic of domestic and family abuse.

We continue to speak up and speak out, we continue to advocate for victims and survivors, and we continue to support them without a $ of Government funding.

2 more women have been murdered in the last 24 hours due to men’s violence - when will we start taking notice? And when will those those in power show they care?

A big part of casework at Lokahi involves supporting clients through the court process - whether criminal, family or children’s court - we want to ensure our clients feel safe and supported at all times 💜

The Women’s Domestic and Violence Court Advocacy Service (WDVCAS) are a huge part of the support network for criminal matters and ADVO’s in our local courts. We work closely with WDVCAS often making cross-referrals to ensure the best outcomes for victim-survivors, and it was great to spend time with another member of their team in court this week 💜

The numbers don't lie. 97% of our clients DO NOT return to domestic and family abuse after coming through our doors.

That's not luck. That's the result of trauma-informed casework, advocacy, practical and emotional assistance and a community that refuses to give up on people when they need it most.

But our doors only stay open because of people like you.

This End of Financial Year, your donation could be the reason someone finds the courage to leave - and never looks back.

Donate before 30 June. Every dollar is tax-deductible.

💔 Yesterday evening, police entered a family home in Campbelltown and found a mother and her two young sons - aged 4 and 12 - dead. A man has been charged with three counts of murder. Police say there was no prior record of domestic violence at the home.

No prior record. No warning on their radar. Three lives gone.

This is the reality of domestic and family abuse in Australia. It doesn't always look like what we expect. It doesn't always come with a paper trail. And when our sector is chronically underfunded, we lose the ability to reach families before it's too late.

Frontline services like Lokahi provide early intervention, crisis support, safe housing, and the kind of trusted relationships that can mean the difference between life and death - but we cannot do this work without adequate, sustained government investment.

While NSW Police were simultaneously making nearly 1,000 arrests in a DV crackdown, a family was dying in a home that had never been flagged. Policing alone is not enough. Specialist services are not a luxury. They are lifesaving infrastructure.

Women and children are dying. We need more than thoughts and condolences - we need action and funding.

➡️ Please donate to Lokahi today and help fund the services that save lives.

The Government claims to invest billions into domestic violence services.

So why does the Lokahi Foundation receive ZERO government funding?

Every single day, we support women and children impacted by domestic and family abuse - helping them move forward and live free from violence. No government cheque. Just community.

That means YOUR donation is their lifeline.

💜 Donate today and help us keep showing up.
