Wonderful to see the Williamstown Swimming & Life Saving Club Inc Silver Salties joining the thousands of surf lifesavers across the country remembering those lost at Bondi. Be the light out of the darkness ❤️💛

The Silver Salties formed a reflective circle this morning and observed a minute’s silence in memory of the Bondi Beach tragedy. During the reflection, it was acknowledged that the lifeguards at Bondi placed themselves in harm’s way as they courageously responded to injured and wounded victims.

Our beaches are, and will always remain, a safe haven for all members of our community.

The winners of each category - plus the People’s Choice and overall Leader of the Year award recipients - will be announced at a special cocktail event at Mindil Beach Casino Resort on Wednesday, November 26.
