Despite some unexpected electrical issues last night, our volunteers at the Order of Malta Community Care Kitchen still managed to prepare a delicious warm meal for our guests.

With the cold, wet weather outside, the opportunity to enjoy a hot meal in the comfort of a warm and welcoming dining room was especially appreciated.

Even with the challenging conditions, the atmosphere remained cheerful and full of good humour — a wonderful reminder of the spirit of community that makes these evenings so special.

Thank you to our dedicated volunteers and our guests for making the night such a rewarding experience for everyone involved.

A big thank you to our wonderful volunteers from St John’s College at the University of Sydney who regularly give their time at the Order of Malta Community Care Kitchen.

Your enthusiasm, compassion, and willingness to serve bring great energy to the kitchen and help create a welcoming space for everyone we serve. It’s inspiring to see young people living out the spirit of service and community in such a practical way.
