An incredible team effort this morning saw over 40 loads of firewood delivered to thoes in need around Boddington!

A huge thankyou to everyone involved, topped off with an amzing spread for morning tea.

Lions Club vollies braved the wet, windy and wild weather to help our friends at the Quindanning Picnic Races prepare for their big upcoming weekend.

Thanks to everyone who helped out, Karly, Robyn and the Quinny Races Committee for inviting us down. This is a fantastic local event we love to support.

🦸‍♂️Not all heroes wear capes — some wear a Lions badge 🦁

At the Lions Club of Boddington’s 50th Anniversary celebrations, long-term Newmont Boddington employee Graeme Reynolds was recognised with Life Membership — a distinction not awarded lightly, reserved for Lions who have given more than 20 years of outstanding service and made a substantial contribution to their community.

Graeme has been a Lion for over 23 years, and even before officially joining in 2002, he was already rolling up his sleeves to help with community projects across Boddington. 💪 From hay carting and firewood deliveries, to organising the annual Boddington Lions Rodeo — now the club’s major fundraising event — Graeme’s contribution has been nothing short of extraordinary.🔥

As Treasurer for the past eight years, Graeme has helped oversee more than $366,000 in community donations over the last five years alone, supporting local groups, schools, emergency relief efforts, health charities, and individuals in need. The Lions Rodeo itself has become a cornerstone community event, with funds reinvested into local facilities and causes that benefit the whole town.

👏 A huge congratulations also to Mark Shaw, one of our business partners working at the Boddington Primary Crusher, who was awarded Life Membership on the same evening for his outstanding service to the Lions Club.

Thank you, Graeme, for everything you’ve given to Boddington and beyond — and congratulations on this well-deserved honour. 🌟

Last night, we jumped in the bouncy bus and headed up to Perth for the ABCRA Est 1946 2025 awards night.

We’re overwhelmed to announce Boddington Lions accepted the award for the Rodeo Committee of the year!

Congrats to Hunta Gallacher for taking out the All round cowgirl champion saddle, sponsored by the Boddington Lions

Buckles, Bubbles and Bow Ties! The ABCRA WA Branch awards night for 2025 is fast approaching and the community bus has been booked in to head up the highway.

Last year, the WA all-round cowgirl saddle award was sponsored by Bodd Lions, featuring our logo embossed into the leather.

Lions Club of Boddington will soon be donating firewood to local elderly residents, pensioners and to community groups to raffle off for fundraising

Given Boddingtons reputation for cold winters, we’re looking forward to carrying on the decade’s long tradition of the wood chop into the future.

Lions were proud to help out on fire affected farms in Wandering this morning. Plenty of hands make light work and what an amazing turnout today!

This is just the start. There’s still much more work ahead and we’ll be back lending a hand where we can in the coming months.
