🏡 Staying in Place Information Session 💙

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Monday 8 June for our Staying in Place Information Session.

We were fortunate to hear from a wonderful group of guest speakers, including Dex and Misty from Homemade, Chris and Sandra from Narrogin Gasworks, Jenny an Occupational Therapist, Alison a support worker, Wendy, who shared her experience as a family member, and Louise from Ambulance Wish WA.

The session provided valuable information about navigating the aged care system, accessing local supports, and the many ways services, workers, volunteers and family members help older Australians continue living independently in their own homes.

A special thank you to all of our speakers for generously sharing their knowledge, experiences and passion for supporting our community. Your contributions helped create an informative and engaging morning for everyone who attended.

We look forward to continuing these important conversations and supporting our community through the Staying in Place Boddington & Surrounds program.

💙 Together, we can help people remain connected, supported and living well at home.

On Saturday 6 June, the Boddington CRC and Eco Club were delighted to host a Nesting Box Workshop facilitated by the knowledgeable Simon Cherriman.

Participants enjoyed learning about the importance of nesting boxes, the different designs used by various species, and how these simple structures can help support local wildlife and biodiversity.

After an informative presentation and slideshow, attendees got hands-on, building four different styles of nesting boxes to take their new skills from theory into practice.

A huge thank you to Simon for sharing his expertise and to everyone who attended and helped make the day such a success. It was wonderful to collaborate with the Eco Club on this fantastic community event.

We would love to see any nesting boxes you have created at home, feel free to share your pictures below!
