Rovers is the oldest youth section in the Scouting Movement, for people between 18 and 25 years old.

Rovers provides young people a balance of fun, adventure, exploration and service.

We are so proud to be who we are and support both our LGBT pride and pride in scouting by marching across 2 groups this year.

Blacktown gets Badges!
Last night we had a Business Meeting and 3 of our members earned some badges!
🏋️‍♀️ Keiara earned an Adventure & Sport SIA for her dedication to weightlifting!
🎭🎵🏃‍♀️Emma earned SIAs in Arts & Literature, Personal Growth and Adventure & Sport for her involvement as a cast member & item director at gang show, and for achieving her goal of running 5km!
⛑️ Cat & Emma received their first aid badges for completing first aid qualifications.
A big B-R-A-V-O-O-O to Keiara, Cat and Emma!

⭐️ UNIT MEMBER MONDAY ⭐️
Welcome back to another Unit Member Monday! This Monday we are meeting Emma (she/her)!

How long have you been in Scouting?
I joined in the Scout section in 2011, so 13 years!

Do you hold any roles in Scouting?
Currently I am the Secretary & PR Officer for the Unit. I am also an Item Director for Cumberland Gang Show, and a Girl Guide Leader.

What is your favourite Scouting memory?
It would have to be going to the New Zealand Venture as a Venturer in 2016. The friends I have made there from all over Australia are still some of my best friends today, almost 10 years later!

•How long have you been in Scouting?: I joined when I was 8, so 16 years!!

•Do you hold any roles in Scouting? Unit Chair and Lead Organiser for Q***r Formal 2025!

•What is your favourite Scouting memory? A favourite throwback memory would be sittig aroud the fire at Dragon Skin as a venturer, having deep coversations with friends and making new ones. A more recent favourite memory would be the success we had at last years’ Q***r Formal, seeing everyone express themselves authentically and sharing in q***r joy🥰

This weekend 3 of our Rovers delved into the world of ancient mythology at Mootology, hosted by Newcastle Rover Unit! From their excellent costumes, to archery, to whipping up a mouthwatering fivesies spread 🤤, a fantastic weekend was had by all🔱🌿

Last night, Our one and only Alex ran an environmental sustainablility night for us. we learnt about how our lives and choices impact the world around us and able the importance of self-awarness to creating a sustainable world.
