ADRA Community Centre Blacktown Our Mission is to serve humanity so all may live as God intended - free from poverty and disadvantage. Join the Circle!

We aim to relieve human suffering by empowering, developing, and providing support for disadvantaged individuals and families in time of need and crisis Activities ADRA Blacktown provides:

- Individual and couple counselling for those experiencing crises, emotional distress and mental health issues.
- Light Case Management such as help with forms and referrals
- Emergency food and financial su

pport for those in a short-term crisis. ADRA Blacktown's impact on the community:

In 2019 the ADRA Centre served over 400 people with free counselling, more than 2000 individuals and families with emergency food packs and supported 300 clients with various case management and WDO services. The ADRA Community Centre in Blacktown receives no government funding and depends entirely on donations to meet annual operating costs. Our pantry shelves are looking very bare today.

With the pantry closed on Monday due to the public holiday, we saw a significant increase in families coming through our doors as soon as we reopened. As you can see, stocks have been quickly depleted and fresh produce is running low.

The need in our community is growing, and right now we could really use your support.

If you’re able to donate non-perishable food items or fresh produce, every contribution—no matter how small—makes a difference.

WELCOME HOME, JOHANNA! 🎉 💙

We have some incredibly special news to share with our ADRA Blacktown family! Please join us in giving a massive, heartfelt welcome—and a joyful welcome back—to our new Social Work Supervisor, Johanna!

Johanna’s connection to ADRA Blacktown runs incredibly deep. She was actually one of our original founders, helping to lay the very foundations of the care and support we provide today. After many years away, we are so incredibly blessed that she has returned to our team to step into this vital role.

Her wealth of experience, professional wisdom, and deep heart of compassion are simply the perfect blessing for our team. With Johanna now guiding our wonderful social work students, we are thrilled to continue providing the dedicated, high-quality service our community members deserve.

In case you missed our big news - our Food Pantry has moved!

The ADRA Food Pantry Blacktown is now operating from our new location at 40 Kildare Rd, Blacktown.

Operating hours are Mondays to Wednesdays from 10am - 12pm & 2pm - 5pm.

Please note: counselling and general support services are still available at the ADRA Community Centre Blacktown and have not moved.

We remain committed to providing care, dignity, and practical support across both sites.

| Goodbye old staircase! 👋

Throwback to when we had to unload the food truck and carry all of the food up this giant staircase. We dont miss this at all! 😆
