Healthwise Seniors Inc Healthwise Seniors is for men and women in the Blacktown area aged 50 & over to keep them connected & socially supported.

It offers activities such as craft, scrabble, & a walking group as well as information sessions and outings.

On Monday 12th October our walking group will be meeting outside the cafe at Fairwater for a walk around the area followed by a coffee and chat in the cafe. Along the way, we can check if the brush turkeys have hatched yet.

Many thanks to Doonside Senior Citizens for inviting us to go on their coach trip to Floriade in Canberra yesterday. We had lovely weather and enjoyed the day out in the fresh air and sunshine looking at all the beautiful flowers.

Healthwise Seniors Inc will be holding their Annual General meeting at 10:00am on Tuesday 29th September. Nominations for President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Committee Members are required. All members are welcome to attend.

Healthwise Seniors walking group will be meeting at Woodcroft Lake at 10 o'clock on Monday 14th September. We will do a lap or 2 of the lake then go to Michel's Patisserie at Quakers Court for a cuppa and a chat.

Healthwise Seniors Walking Group on Monday 7th September will be meeting outside the cafe at Fairwater at 10 o'clock. After our walk around the lake and area, we will meet back at the cafe for a cuppa and some conversation.

No walking group on Monday 31st August. Members will be going out for a social lunch.

We had to cancel our walking group last Monday due to the weather, fortunately the weather forecast is good for our next walk on Monday 24th August. We will be meeting outside the cafe at Francis Park at Blacktown Showground at 10 o'clock for a walk around the park followed by a coffee and chat in the cafe. All welcome. PM me if you are not a member and would like to join us.

Tomorrow we will be meeting outside the cafe at Francis Park at 10 o'clock for our weekly walk. Some showers predicted but hopefully they will hold off till later in the day. In spite of the strong winds last week we still walked, so a light shower won't deter us. After the walk we will go back to the cafe to enjoy a coffee and some conversation.

On Monday we will be meeting near the Community Centre at Woodcroft at 10 o'clock for our walk, weather permitting. Afterwards we we go to a local Cafe for a coffee/tea and a chat.
