Throwback Thursday

Here we have the band of the Blacktown Squadron of the Australian Air League, taken at their hall on Kildare Road, Blacktown in 1962!

Behind them is RAN Firefly AS.6 s/n WD827, which was purchased by the Squadron in 1956 and was featured as a Squadron gate guardian. Today the Firefly can be seen at the Moorabbin Aviation Museum.
