Well I'm still feeling a bit weary after a big day yesterday. Starting early to set up at the Blackbutt State School athletics day where we supported the school with cooking up a treat and helping raise some funds for the Blackbutt SS P&C. Then Community Supporting Community meals in the evening. We were so grateful for the Seventh Day Adventist ladies hosting the night. As always they never let us down. The dining room was busy with conversation and we even let a couple of Blue supporters in. Up to 70 meals went out with many more going into the freezer. Some of our diners were lucky enough to take some extras home for later. Thank you once again. Our next Community meals we will be celebrating our 2nd birthday of Community Supporting Community meals. Hope we can celebrate together ❤️

Community Supporting Community meals is on once again this Wednesday night. Our lovely ladies from the Seventh Day Adventist Church are hosting the night. They have just sent me their menu. So looking forward to it.

Here is our menu for Wednesday

Two types of Lasagna
Pasta Alfredo
Asian Noodles
Green Salad
Garlic Bread

Such a special thanks to . After a busy day at school they still came to serve our community. You could see the organisation of a team working together and getting the job done. We did over 70 meals as well as putting some meals in the freezer. For those that we have been helping out where we can. The room was full of chatter and saw a few new faces welcome. And there were some familiar faces not there. I am so happy that we can help out some of the bigger families in the community who come down to grab a takeaway. And to see the thanks we get from the older ones who are unable to get down because of health etc. This is what Community Supporting Community is about. If you would like to host a meal or donate to help go towards community meals night please contact us. If you want to talk to someone just phone one of the contacts on the flyer. So proud to be part of this community when the local school wants to reach out and help Support, Community Supporting Community meals. . The staff in the business of thier days are creating a delicious Italian food with Lasagne and spaghetti bolognaise with salad and garlic bread. And always dessert to follow. As the nights are getting colder and darker early we will try and start earlier at 5pm to start serving meals. See you there down at Blackbutt Benarkin Lions Club

You can tell that the nights are getting colder and getting darker so much earlier. Our numbers were down a little tonight it was so good to see those that did venture out either for a takeaway or joining to dine in. We still managed around 65 meals. We must thank Domino's Pizza for their generous support by donating the pizza and garlic bread. And always our volunteers Blackbutt Benarkin Lions Club.

Community Supporting Community meals. We need to give a special thanks to Domino's Pizza Kingaroy in Supporting us this week. They are donating pizza 🍕 and garlic bread this week. So come down Wednesday night and enjoy a couple of pieces of pizza with a side salad and dessert to follow. See you at the Blackbutt Benarkin Lions Club looking forward to seeing you there.
