Leichhardt Rover Unit

Liechhardt Rovers Unit is for people aged 18 -26, we are part of the Scouts Victoria movment. Follow along for all our scouting adventures

Rover Scouts are the oldest section in Scouting, for 18 to 26 year olds. We provide service to the other scouting sections and the wider community. For recreation we attend statewide events such as Surfmoot and Mudbash, and have weekly meetings. Leichhardt Rover Unit meets on Thursday nights at 7:30.

Last Wednesday night, we had an ✨amazing✨ cheese 🧀 night!!! Your typical cheese - brie, jarlsberg and mersey valley. But we also have some interesting Bulgarian sheep’s cheese 👀
It was banging though!!!

Last Wednesday night we launched a ball from a ✨Trebuchet✨ !!! Twas super exciting and fun to watch. Swipe to watch the Trebuchet in action and the infamous peanut 🥜 gallery. There may have been marshmallows and chocolate milk involved (though not too sure how they got there but no one has been reported sick so probably was from the supermarket 😋)

Engage in combat in the mini rounds! 🤺There are fun games for everyone to compete in to earn double, triple or even more points!!! But, there’s a small catch 😏 some procurement of gold coins or cash may be required. So make sure to bring some money! 💰

There are many fun games that involve your whole team to defeat your foe and some require the ✨CHOSEN ONE✨. Will you be able to reap the rewards of your team’s effort🎉 or will someone be responsible for your losses😔? “With great power, comes great responsiblity” 🕸️🕷️

On Wednesday night, we had some very ✨fun✨CHAOS!!!
We worked on our new buggy, made some month old donuts (which were SLAMMIN) and also bagged up over 100 cans!!!

📍 Where: 1st/8th Blackburn Scout Hall
💵 Cost: $5 per person

BYO food and drinks! 🍔🍿As this is an 18+ event, alcohol is permitted on site! 🍺🍷
Water will be provided to keep everyone hydrated!

Suit up! 🦸🦹
Dress as your favourite superhero 🦸 or supervillain 🦹 (There’s prizes for the best dressed) Whether your kitchen apron is your costume or your The ✨ Amazing ✨ Spiderman, we wanna see it. Or if you’re Lex Luthor or the annoying bug 🐛 in your garden, we wanna see it.

On Wednesday night, we descended upon what can only be described as the snooker palace of our ✨dreams✨. What unfolded was equal parts hilarious and inexplicable: a masterclass in accidental excellence😱!

Let’s be clear: nobody in that photo is training for the World Championship 🏆 . And yet, the balls cooperated as if the crew had collectively channeled the spirits of snooker legends 🎱!
