Recently, VIRB partnered with Foodbank and Hilder Road State School to provide practical support to families doing it tough across our school communities.
Through Foodbank, VIRB purchased over $4,000 worth of groceries at a discounted rate, which were delivered to Hilder Road State School. A huge thank you to Hilder Road State School for generously allowing us to use their hall for this initiative.
From there, VIRBโs Executive Leadership Team transported the groceries, while Student Wellbeing Officers from nine different schools came together to sort, pack, and prepare individual hampers for families in need.
Each hamper contained approximately $90 worth of groceries, with more than 60 hampers packed and distributed completely free of charge to families across our school communities.
These hampers were then delivered back to schools by our Student Wellbeing Officers, ensuring support reached the families who needed it most.
As a certified social enterprise, VIRB reinvests its profits into initiatives like this, creating opportunities to give back and strengthen the communities we serve.
