Australian Juvenile Arthritis Registry (AJAR) for 0-25yr olds with JIA or a related rheumatic disease.

Why AJAR? Because it collects basic, de-identified data on Australians aged 0-25 with juvenile arthritis or a related rheumatic disease. This is critical information for understanding the number of children and young people affected, the number of new cases per year, and changes over time. We use this information as an advocacy tool to encourage governments to increase services and support for children and young people with these diseases.

AJAR now has 900 registrants, and we’re aiming for 1000 by December 2025. You can help by registering yourself/your child. Registering is quick, easy, ethics-approved, and could change yours / your child's future.

The storm stopped the kids playing outside for Little Warriors this afternoon, so we decided on some family games inside instead. So much fun was had! Thank you to all our families for getting through the insane lightning impacted all systems down check in process and for helping make such a good night for all the kids. Hopefully a beautiful day tomorrow for us all to enjoy.

1st year of camp in 2021 to their 5th year of camp together this year for these two wonderful campers. One of my very favourite things is seeing these amazing young people return every year and continue building these connections, making life long memories with their friends, learning about their conditions and having fun. I can honestly say some new awesome memories and friendships were made this year and it was a privilege to once again be apart of it all. We had a group of 35 this year, honestly so proud of each of them.
Thank you all for trusting us with your truly inspiring and incredible children over camp, by all reports they enjoyed it as much as we did. I hope they all rest up and recover well.
A huge thank you to my team of leaders - a group of the best people volunteering their time to help the next generation of campers to have one truly inclusive, beautiful and understanding place to belong in. To India, Amalia, Zara, Caitlin, Grace, Isaac and Mike and our new Jr Leaders Izzy, Liam and Ruby - what you do is truly on another level of kindness, compassion and selflessness. Thank you all - without you camp wouldn’t be possible.
Stay tuned for more photos and videos over the next few days and please let us know your child’s favourite things from camp and the positive difference you see it makes for them too!
