The Biloela 100 committee had the honour of being crowned the community event of the year yesterday at the Banana Shire Council Australia Day awards. We are so proud of the events that unfolded to celebrate our wonderful town turning 100 last year. Thankyou to those who helped during the year to make it all possible & to the community for supporting the events held.

Congratulations to all who were nominated and received an award.

Did you send a family pioneering history intended for Some of the People and Their Stories-Celebrating 100 Years to someone other than Julie Watson, Marion Meissner (0437 736 661) or Biloela 100?

These were the only destinations for histories to be published by the Centenary Committee.

A reprint of the 100 Year publication is being planned, and the committee will endeavour to include misdirected stories in the reprint if it is possible.

Stories of approximately 900 words previously sent to an incorrect address, which are received by the committee by October 31 will be considered for inclusion in the reprint.

A big thank you to the Biloela100 Centenary Committee

Banana Shire Council would like to congratulate the Biloela100 Centenary Committee for putting together a truly incredible weekend of celebrations. After a year of hard work, dedication, and planning, it was wonderful to see everything come together.

A special thank you to Wayne Kirwan and to everyone who played a part in making this milestone celebration unforgettable.
