Coolangatta Tweed Squadron

The Australian Air League is a youth organisation for boys and girls aged from 8 years which encourages an interest in aviation as a career or as a hobby for the youth of Australia.The organisation is entirely self-funding and is staffed by volunteers who give their time generously to achieve its goals. The Australian Air League has no political, racial or religious connections. Cadets have the opportunity to be involved in numerous activities including: Aviation Education - Theory of Flight, Engineering, Gliding and Soaring, Meteorology Ceremonial Drill Team Building Model Aircraft Camp Craft and Gliding Camps

The STEM activities offered by the Australian Air League, provide children with a passion for aviation the chance to explore this further in a fun and friendly environment. Cadets have the opportunity to compete at local and national competitions and earn proficiency badges.

Cadets also have the opportunity to participate in gliding and powered flight activities as well as Leadership Training Courses. It is through these activities that the cadets build strong and lasting friendships while gaining educational and life skills.

The Coolangatta Tweed Squadron meets Wednesday evenings during school term at 6.00pm to 8.00pm at Air Gold Coast
