πποΈ ** SUNDAY 7 JUNE Our Hall Turns 70!** ποΈπ
Built in June 1956 as the Bicton Palmyra Memorial Hall, our beloved old hall is celebrating its 70th birthday.
Sure, she has a few leaks, a few cracks in the walls, and the occasional creak, but for seven decades she has been the heart of our community. She's hosted dances, celebrations, meetings, fundraisers, friendships, and enough stories to fill a history book.
The stories of local servicemen and women who helped build our community are part of this hall's proud history. And the tales of those who danced the night away at the Bicton Stomp before heading to Point Walter in an EH Holden... well, those stories will remain safely locked away! π

But this celebration is about much more than a building.
This old hall belongs to the community. It was built by the community, sustained by the community, and its future depends on the community.
70 years ago, local residents had the vision to create a place where people could come together, support one another, share a laugh, lend a hand, and build lasting friendships. As the current custodians of this hall, we all have a responsibility to continue that tradition for future generations.
Whether you're a long-time local, a new resident, young, old, or somewhere in between, this is YOUR community. We encourage you to come along, get involved, meet your neighbours, join an activity, volunteer your time, or simply enjoy being part of a connected and caring community.
Strong communities don't happen by accident. They are built by people who turn up, lend a hand, and look out for one another.
So come and celebrate 70 years of community spirit with us and help ensure this hall remains a vibrant community hub for the next 70 years.
**FREE community event β everyone is welcome.**
