🐷Feral pigs driving you wild? 🎯

From damaged paddocks and dead lambs to devastating effects on waterways and native biodiversity, feral pigs can be one of the most frustrating pests for landholders to manage. And because pigs breed quickly and move across multiple properties, effective control often requires the right tools and techniques.

Join PHBG for a Pig Brig demonstration day and see this innovative trapping system in action. Designed to capture entire mobs of pigs, the Pig Brig offers a lightweight, portable trapping option.

Come along to learn how the system works, hear practical tips and tricks learned in the field, and discover what your local recognised biosecurity group can do to help you manage declared pests on your land.

This grassy road verge along an empty block on James St in Northam doesn't look like much, but there were over four species of frogs making happy, loud calls in the rain near this puddle!

The frog calls were identified through recording the audio in the iNaturalist.org app.

Ever spotted a giant nest perched high above the coastline? That's the work of the yoondoordoo / Eastern osprey. These incredible birds build towering nests (called stacks) adding to them year after year. Some have been part of the island's landscape for over 70 years! 🪹🦅
