Murder charges, Bethania

Police have charged two people with murder as part of ongoing investigations into a 46-year-old man who was reported missing from Beenleigh in March 2022.

Following extensive police investigations over the past four years, yesterday 17 August, detectives executed a search warrant at a property on Old Trafford Road at Bethania where they allegedly located human remains.

A crime-scene was established and detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch remain at the scene.

A 52-year-old Bethania man and a 45-year-old Windaroo woman have now each been charged with one count each of murder and interfere with a co**se.

Both are scheduled to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court today, 18 August.

Investigations continue.
