Berry Springs Recreation Reserve A welcoming community space featuring a playground, basketball and tennis courts, plus a hall and meeting room available for hire for events and gatherings.

Bada bing, bada boom… the new shade sail has been installed! And it looks amazing! 🙌
After Cyclone Fina decided to catapult a huge mahogany tree into the skate park, it’s been a long wait working through the insurance process and repairs. The final piece of the puzzle was getting the shade back up—and now it’s done!

With this weather being sooooo hot, it’s just in time! ☀️🛹

🏀⚽🏉 A HUGE THANK YOU TO CWA! 🏐🏀⚽
We were very lucky to receive a fantastic donation of brand-new sporting equipment from the CWA, for our Community Sports Equipment Box at the Berry Springs Recreation Reserve!

They have donated basketballs, footballs, netballs, soccer balls and more – giving our equipment box a very welcome restock and plenty more for local kids, families and anyone visiting the Reserve to use. ❤️

The idea behind the box is simple – the equipment is there for everyone. Grab a ball, have a kick, shoot some hoops or get a game going, then pop it back in the box when you’re finished so the next person can enjoy it too.

It was wonderful to have members of the CWA Litchfield Branch join us at the Reserve to officially add their donation to the box. We really appreciate them getting behind a simple little initiative that encourages people to get outside, be active and make use of the facilities we have right here in Berry Springs.

And while we're talking about the equipment box – you can help keep it stocked too! If you have basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, netballs or other sporting equipment sitting unused at home and still in good condition, we'd love to give it a second life! Simply drop it into the Community Sports Equipment Box at the rear of the Reserve.

A very big thank you again to the CWA Litchfield Branch for such a generous donation. We can't wait to see all of this new gear being put to good use! 🙌

Save the date for the Berry Springs Recreation Reserve Annual General Meeting!

All Management Committee positions will be available, including Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Public Officer and Committee Members.

💚 Not a member yet?
Now is a great time to join! If you would like to vote at the AGM, nominate for the Management Committee and have a say in the future of your Reserve, make sure you become a member before the AGM. Your membership must be approved by the current Management Committee PRIOR to the AGM.

And remember – you don't have to join the Committee to be a member. Your membership alone is a simple way to support the ongoing management and improvement of the Reserve.

One of our youngest members out exploring the playground — and clearly having a pretty great time doing it!
We put a lot of work into maintaining and improving the Reserve so our local community has a great place to enjoy. This is why we do what we do.💚

🌿 YOUR MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL IS DUE! 🌿
If you became a member or renewed your membership prior to April 2026, your membership has now expired. Membership is just $5 and is a simple way to support the Berry Springs Recreation Reserve.

Recently, someone said to us:
“I don’t want to become a member because I don’t want to come to meetings.” So we thought we should clear this up!

You DO NOT have to attend meetings to be a member.
The Berry Springs Recreation Reserve is managed by a volunteer Management Committee, and it is this Committee that meets regularly to manage the Reserve.

Your membership is about supporting your local Reserve.
Your $5 membership helps to:
✓ Maintain and improve our facilities
✓ Fund future improvements
✓ Support local community events
✓ Keep the Reserve community-run
✓ Support the future of the Reserve

And your membership goes further than you might think.
Not only does your membership provide direct financial support, strong membership numbers also demonstrate that our community values and supports the Reserve — which is important when we apply for grants and seek funding for future projects and improvements.

If you’d like to have a say in how the Reserve is run, volunteer your time, or become part of the Management Committee, you are very welcome to join us at our AGM this October. We would absolutely love to have you! But if not — that’s okay too!
