Yesterday saw our Brother’s Supporting Brother’s -Men’s Group headed out to Gerard to chuck in a line 🎣 and 🪵 gather some more wood for carving.

The regular spot was being used due to school holidays so we headed over near the ‘ford’ a lovely BBQ lunch was cooked, shared and eaten.

🗣️ We shared stories of family connection, old camping stories, football carnivals and healing and recovery all being shared along with plenty of laughs 🤣 as usual

👥We had a couple of new men come out and attend the group which is always exciting 🔥🙌🏾

🗓️ Our next Brother’s Supporting Brother’s -Men’s Group is on Tuesday the 27th of October at 11:00am

🪘Our Men’s Group will have a Drumming Session with Mick Scordo from Rhythmic Drumming & Couselling Services.

ALL Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Men aged 18 & above are welcome to attend.
** 16 & 17 years old can attend under the supervision of a Dad, Brother(over 18), Uncel or Papa.

The Riverland ADAC Office will CLOSED TOMORROW due to the Public Holiday 🗓️

All programs including MAP will not be operating our doors will be back open on Tuesday the 6th of October at 9:00am.

Riverland United Senior Football Delegate Sam Mitchell caught up with Aunty Di Wilson from Riverland Aboriginal Drug & Alcohol Council of SA (ADAC) and presented her with one of our new Riverland United polos.

Riverland ADAC’s sponsorship has allowed for our Senior Football Team to compete in the 2026 South Australian Aboriginal Football & Netball Carnival.

👏🏾 We are thankful and appreciate the continued support and sponsorship from Riverland ADAC (the past three carnivals) which allows our community to represent our community, families, grandparents and our identity with strength, pride and respect ✊🏾

Brothers Supporting Brothers - Men’s Group today went out to Redbank to get some wood and do some woodcarving, some fullas chucked in a line 🎣….but we had no luck 🐟

Of course, our men had a nice feed this group we done hotdogs 🌭 on the fire 🔥, we yarned about some positive changes that have happened in our lives recently, shared some stories about connection, community and life growing up and of course heaps of laughs 🤣🤣

Sometimes we underestimate the power that being on country and having that strong connection to identity can have for healing purposes so we can be positive, strong role models for our families, children, community and people 🖤💛❤️ 🖤🤍💚💙
