Berowra Garden Club

Berowra Garden Club Berowra Garden Club is a non-profit community organisation. Meetings - monthly at Warrina Club House.

The Berowra Garden Club was started on 23rd April, 1953, with a group of Berowra residents. The meetings were held in the District Hall and the club started as the Berowra Garden Club and Orchid Society before later becoming the Flora and Fauna Protection Society. In 1959 the Orchid Society formed their own club and it was at this time that the club returned to its original name of the Berowra Gar

den Club. Having now been running for over 60 years the Berowra Garden Club sees residents from all over the Hornsby Shire attend the monthly meetings. Not only is it a great way to meet and interact with like minded gardeners, but also a great opportunity to see some fantastic local guest speakers. Meetings are held every second Thursday of the month from 7:30pm at the Warrina Oval Club House.

Come hear Rossy, a local woman, who lovers her garden and all it's inhabitants, talk about worm farming known as vermicomposting. Rossy is going to show us just how easily you can set up a worm farm to feed your garden or indoor and balcony plants with nutrient rich fertiliser that doesn't smell! This easy style of vermicomposting is suitable for all ages and abilities. It takes the guess work and hard work out of worm farming!
