The Band started way back in 1993 and has rehearsed and performed every year since then. 2023 is our 30th anniversary which is amazing! We’re a community band for young people aged 10 to 24, who have at least a few years of music training. As an off-shoot of the Berowra RSL Sub-Branch the band regularly plays at the ANZAC day service in Berowra, the Long Tan service in August, and also at other lo
cal events during the year. We are always looking to welcome new players to the band so if you play an instrument such as flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, French horn, drums, percussion etc, and you like playing in a band, then join us. Just send us a message and we'll let you know rehearsal details. You can join at any point, not just the start of term! Almost all of our current players are in school bands but enjoy the opportunity to play in a community band as well. If you are currently registered for the Duke of Edinburgh program then band could be used for the skill component. Cost – free for first term with a small cost each term after that. We receive financial help from the Berowra RSL Sub-Branch and we are very grateful for their ongoing support.
