🏳️‍🌈 Important Update Regarding Our June Pride Market

We have some tough news to share. Due to our current volunteer capacity, we are sadly unable to go ahead with our Pride Month market scheduled for June 6th.

As many of you know, Beacon of Hope Project is a volunteer-led, lived-experience organisation. We started these markets to break down the very barriers we’ve faced ourselves, providing a disability-inclusive space with free accessibility adjustments—all without additional outside funding or support.

While we are passionate about creating these spaces, we have to practice what we preach. Just because we aren't behind a market stall doesn't mean our bodies don't also require adjustments to prevent burnout. To keep this project sustainable and healthy for our team, we need to take this time to rest and recharge.

- July Returns: We are feeling hopeful and plan to be back—better than ever—in July!

Meet Vanessa and her 13-year-old daughter, the creative team behind Ellise & Emporium. What began just two months ago as a fun homeschool art project quickly turned into a shared passion for resin.

Driven by a love for all things "arts and crafts," this duo has turned a creative spark into an addictive hobby, producing vibrant, handcrafted resin pieces that capture their excitement for the craft.

The Makers: A dedicated mother-daughter team experimenting with every pour.

🎉 We Have a Winner! 🎉

A massive congratulations to our lollies-in-the-jar champion from this past Saturday! 🏆🍭

She managed to get the closest guess to the exact amount of lollies in the jar!

It was such a joy to see so many people getting involved and supporting Beacon of Hope Project at our May Mothers Day Markets. Every guess from this game helps us continue our mission of providing peer-led activities and initiatives, advocacy, and empowerment within our community.
