Our incredible volunteer team put so much love, thought and attention into every pack we gift to children. From matching colours and coordinating outfits to considering different ages, personalities and possible interests, every detail is carefully chosen to add a special touch.

Before each pack heads off to its new little boy or girl, our team works hard to ensure it feels more than just practical—it feels personal, comforting and filled with kindness.

Our tubs for baby toiletries are almost empty, and we urgently need supplies to help fill incoming orders.

Another month, another 241 babies and toddlers supported.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, 241 little ones received essential material aid this month—providing warmth, safety, hygiene, and dignity when it was needed most.

A small gesture, can make a big difference 💛

If there was any doubt that families are facing severe financial strain right now, our online ordering system removes all doubt.

These are the current requests coming through from our referring partners, alongside comments like:
☀️”The children have no winter clothes.”
☀️”Can we please have winter cot bedding?”
☀️”This baby has just been born and the family have nothing.”

These comments are becoming more and more common.

We are asking our community to remember families doing it tough this winter. If you, or anyone you know, have any baby items that are still in near-new condition and no longer needed, please consider donating them to help a local family.

Volunteer Spotlight:-

As part of Volunteer Week, we are proud to shine a spotlight on our longest serving volunteer, Kerri.

Kerri has been with Sunshine from the very beginning, walking alongside us every step of the journey for the past 10 years.

When we asked Kerri what motivates her to volunteer and give so much of herself, this was her heartfelt response:

“I have volunteered at Sunshine for 10 years, and I love it. There are the other volunteers, who are fantastic, but being able to help families in need is a wonderful thing to do. It makes my heart sing.”
