Interested in getting paid experience working in the arts? Applications for the Arts Admin Assistant role with the Creative City team close next Thursday 22nd October.

The role will include a variety of tasks working on the 2027 Eat.Drink.Art program, pairing up businesses and artists, and transforming View St into a walking gallery. The intern will also work on 2 artist markets, and gain experience in event delivery, marketing and communications.

This role is part of the City of Greater Bendigo's Arts Worker internship program that offers new graduates or emerging arts workers paid professional experience in arts-based project administration and delivery.

Our second new show today is at Exhibit B Central.
David Lyon, "Lyon's Gate"
David says his faces come from his subconscious, and they aren’t really people he knows. He said it feels right that Lyon’s Gate refers to the gate of his mind where people can go in and have a look.
David is supported in his creative practice by DONUT Studios.

Two new exhibitions have just been installed at our Exhibit B sites.
First up, at Exhibit B Mitchell, "Our Life, Our Art" celebrates the creativity and individuality of Bendigo artists from Latrobe Lifeskills.
Featuring work by artists: Lashay Bannister, Ashley Chislett-Rundell, Mitchell Harris and Hayley Justice.

A gap has opened up the Exhibit B Mitchell schedule: 10 Nov to 7 Dec 2026.
The space consists of two 'frames' 1250mm (wide) x 2050mm (high), with six wires and 18 hooks, and suits framed 2D work.
If you are interested in exhibiting - send three images and a brief description of your work (no more than 200 words) to [email protected] by 9am, Wednesday, 14 October.
Artists who have not previously exhibited as part of the Exhibit B program are especially encouraged to apply.

Now showing at Dudley House "HUMAN" by Alanah Ellen Brand

"HUMAN explores my work from the past 3 years. From portraits of people I love and admire, to self portraits that explore conflict and personal agency."

This exhibition is presented as part of the City of Greater Bendigo's Artists on View program, and is open daily 10am to 4pm until the 18th of October.

Do you have a creative idea, new partnership or collaboration that needs funding to develop? The next round of Create Lab Small Grants are now open.

Apply for grants of up to $4000, with priority given to projects that are exploring creative development or research, cross art form collaboration or partnerships with sectors outside of the creative industries.

Applications close Monday 14 December, for projects commencing after 27 January 2027.
