Impact Recovery delivers Central Victoria’s only long-term community and social reintegration program with accommodation, offering a safe, structured environment where individuals can rebuild their lives free from addiction and social exclusion. It is a long term (12 months+) residential rehabilitation service that is relieving homelessness, destitution, family violence and addictions alongside un
addressed mental health concerns through professional counselling, recovery programs and accommodation, partnered with key professional stakeholders in our community to outwork the vision. Our vision is “Freedom from Addiction”. This unique service is an effective and successful program that not only provides accommodation but also targets specific needs by introducing group sessions and practical teaching on issues such as; conflict resolution, communication skills, identity and self-worth, life skills, literature and numeracy, work place ethics, discipline and boundary setting. Impact Recovery operates on the belief that every individual deserves to live a life that maximises their potential, restoring them to their life’s purpose. Impact Recovery believes that the reasons that a person has a life controlling addiction are many, and thus the approach to recovery must be holistic. This being the underlying foundation, the approach to therapy covers four main areas; biological, social, psychological and spiritual. The organisation relies on a core work force (8 key staff as at April 2021) alongside a passionate team of volunteers who are committed to seeing participants restored to wholeness and freedom from dependence upon any person, behaviour, chemical or destructive pattern of thinking. Our approach is person-centred, trauma informed and focused on the individual, allowing them the choice to recover. Our services are available for men and women 18+. There have been many success stories of participants returning home, reconciled with their families and their children.
