Today, Sports Focus recognises National Sorry Day and honours the strength, resilience and lived experiences of Stolen Generations survivors, their families and communities.

National Sorry Day is an important opportunity to acknowledge the truth of Australiaโ€™s history and the devastating impacts caused by the forced removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families, communities and Country. These impacts continue to be felt across generations today.

By listening, learning and acknowledging the full history of the Stolen Generations, we can continue to build understanding, respect and meaningful action towards reconciliation.

Weโ€™re excited to be offering TWO free workshops for local clubs and community sport leaders, facilitated by Proud 2 Play ๐Ÿ™Œ

๐ŸŽฒ The Game is an interactive, immersive experience where participants step into different roles to better understand the barriers and โ€œinner circlesโ€ that can exist in clubs and communities. Itโ€™s hands-on, thought-provoking, and creates the kind of conversations that lead to real change.

A big thank you to Eaglehawk Football Netball Club and South Bendigo FNC for hosting these important conversations and leading the way in community inclusion!
