Our lovely crew at Social Sunday 💛

These nights really are a little cup-filling magic.
A chance to slow down, chat about life, share stories, laugh, create, and simply enjoy each other’s company. Some of us crafted away happily, while others took great pleasure in watching the creativity unfold around the room — which honestly is just as lovely.

From sewing machines humming, crochet hooks flying and floral bead projects taking shape, to a very serious LEGO bonsai operation underway… there was a little bit of everything tonight.

Special shout outs to Karina for her beautiful LEGO botanical creations 🌿 and to Lux and Sue for their gorgeous floral beading teamwork. The pair are hoping to have their pieces ready for the October Show, and we’re already excited to watch their little project bloom over the coming months.

This is exactly what Night Roses is all about — connection, creativity, community and women coming together exactly as they are 💛. If you are thinking of joining the CWA come along to our monthly meeting held on the 4th Wednesday at 6.30pm

What a beautiful night with our Night Roses 💛🌹

Tonight’s meeting was full of connection, laughter and that lovely buzz that comes when women come together. We were so excited to welcome some new friendly faces into the room — there’s something really special about seeing our community grow.

A big part of the night was sharing in the excitement for the upcoming Moira Group Creative Arts Exhibition right here in Benalla next month 🎨🧵
We had the chance to admire some of the incredible pieces our talented members are preparing to enter — from sewing and crafts to creative projects that truly showcase the heart of our group.

We can’t wait to see these works on display and celebrate the creativity within our wider CWA community.

International Women’s Day

Today we celebrate the incredible women in our community, the ones who show up, support each other, share their skills, and make country towns stronger.

At Country Women’s Association Night Roses Benalla, we’re proud to be women supporting women. Whether that’s over a cup of tea, a community project, learning something new, or simply having a good laugh together.

The CWA today is women of all ages, bringing fresh ideas, friendship and energy while continuing a proud tradition of supporting country communities.

A fantastic weekend as we attended the Moira Group CWA conference and AGM. We are so proud of our branch taking out both secretaries trophies 🏆.. 2026 will be another fabulous year for the night roses 🌹

Hello lovely community 🌻
Due to the forecast extreme heat (42°), we have made the decision to cancel our January 28/1/2026 CWA meeting.
The safety and wellbeing of our members and community always comes first.

Today some of our branch members had the absolute joy of joining our sister branches within the Moira Group for a Christmas celebration in beautiful Yarrawonga 🎄
It was so lovely spending time with fellow CWA members — sharing stories, laughter, and hearing about the wonderful ways each branch has supported their communities this year.
A special highlight was a visit from Santa himself, who very kindly assured us we were all firmly on the nice list 😉🎅
A heart-warming reminder that while our branches may be spread far and wide, our values, friendships, and sense of community connect us all.
Feeling grateful, inspired, and wonderfully festive 🌹

Tonight we gathered for our final Benalla Night Roses meeting of the year — and what a year it’s been!

From a tiny spark back in April to a vibrant community of 19 fabulous members.. Nineteen!! we’ve truly bloomed together.
Craft nights, market stalls, show wins, shared laughter, generous hearts — every moment has built the beautiful branch we are today.

A fond farewell to Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
This year’s Country of Study has taken us on a rich, colourful journey — from spices and textiles to traditions and stories that broadened our view of the world. Thank you, Sri Lanka, for filling our year with warmth, flavour, and learning.
And now… hello 2026 and hello CANADA! 🇨🇦🍁
Next year we’ll bundle up and dive into maple syrup, snow-dusted landscapes, Indigenous cultures, butter tarts, and all things wonderfully Canadian.
A new chapter, a new country, a new adventure!

To our Benalla community:
Thank you for cheering us on, supporting our events, buying our cakes, and embracing our brand-new branch with so much love.
