Are you a Geelong sustainable business?! This one’s for you!

Geelong Sustainability is currently inviting expressions of interest (EOI) from reputable and experienced companies interested in serving as our Preferred Partners throughout the 2026-27 Electric Homes Program!

This year we are broadening the program to provide the community with a small selection of preferred partners and suppliers in each area of upgrades. This initiative will generate and feed leads to a variety of trusted providers through community engagement and education across the G21 region (including Geelong, Surf Coast, Colac Otway, Golden Plains, and Queenscliffe). This program supports households with everything they need to create an efficient electric home, focusing on the installation and enhancement of:

-Solar, Batteries & EV charging
-Hot Water Heat Pumps
-Reverse Cycle Heating and Cooling
-Induction Cooktops
-Insulation
-Draught Proofing
-Home Energy Audits

For more information and to express interest for your business, head to the link in bio.

🌿 Happy World Environment Day!

This year's theme is "Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future" - and right here in Geelong, that's exactly what we're working towards every day.

From helping households switch to clean energy, to building a community ready to face the challenges of a changing climate - our community is sending a clear signal: we're in.

Thank you to every member, volunteer and supporter who is part of this movement. The action you take here matters.

Battery systems: do you need one? It can be a great way to make your own home energy ecosystem and make the most of your solar.

But if you can't prioritise a battery right now you can usually add it later on.

In the meantime, there are some fantastic hot water or heating/cooling "smart systems" which you can program to run during the peak time of solar production.

Join Geelong Renewables Not Gas for an educational evening to understand the role of gas and electrification within Geelong and Victoria’s future.

This event is run by Geelong Renewables Not Gas and, while it's not an ABC event, it is inspired by the popular ‘You Can’t Ask That’ show. Presented in a similar format, experts will read out and answer community-submitted questions in front of the audience. Individuals can ask questions they have long wanted answered or have been too afraid to ask.

Date: Wednesday 10 June
Time: 6.00pm-8.00pm
