Did you know that several local pharmacists, together with some parents and friends, will be swimming this March to raise awareness of the prevalence of youth mental health issues, and the resources and organisations that are available to support our community's young people. All funds raised will go to ReachOut Australia
ReachOut provides a safe, online place for young people to chat anonymously, get support, and feel better. And, ReachOut's resources for parents and schools provide valuable information and advice to help them better support the young people in their lives.
To find this and other support services, visit the local directory on the Belmont Alliance Against Depression website.

Feeling haunted by anxiety?👻 Anxiety can feel a bit like a persistent ghost, lurking in the shadows where ever you go.

Did you know we can actually see anxiety more like a friend? If we acknowledge that it’s there to keep us safe but also notice when it’s being a bit too far fetched.

Being aware when these feelings arise is good to keep in check, to know when it's there to keep us safe or if it's being a bit too far-fetched 🙅

Here are some of our tips to ghostbuster them away 💨

Worried that your child is depressed?

Growing up is full of changes - like starting school, going through puberty, and preparing for exams. For some children, changes like this can cause stress and depression.

If you think your child might be depressed, talk to them about how they’re feeling. And don’t be afraid to seek professional help. 💚
