Day 3 Ramsay Bay Hinchinbrook clean up for Queensland Environment and we were joined by Bruce & Anne from S/V Antidote filling bag after bag, whilst 7 hikers from Absolute North Charters helped transfer bags from the beach to the inlet so we can take it off the island. Day 2 Ramsay Bay Hinchinbrook for Queensland Environment saw Neville & Amanda from S/V Bosa Nova, 6 hikers from Absolute North Charters and the 3 OC crew remove a pile of rubbish from the north and south ends. Beautiful day, amazing volunteers, way too much debris.

The Cruising community came together today to clean Saba Bay, Whitsundays and what an effort. 2 very full bulk bags and a water tank out of paradise. Thanks to all involved. The Whitsundays is the best place to be.

The Boat Names Australia Airlie Beach Race Week layday clean up today saw perfect conditions, sensational volunteers and a heap of rubbish removed. A huge thanks to Ocean Rafting who provided one of their boats once again to transport the volunteers. Always a pleasure to work with passionate organisations. The 27 volunteers have removed around 550kg (official weight once we take to tip) consisting of lots of boat parts, hard plastics and far too many beverage containers. One item we need to research is the number of 'floater' golf balls. Possibly someone hitting balls into Ocean as an activity?

A huge month in July sees us remove over 22 tonne of debris from Queensland Waterways. From Hinchinbrook Island, Townsville, Bundaberg, Sunshine Coast and Brisbane, the team has worked hard all over and our volunteers are still the best in the world. Since 2017 we've now removed over 1.1 million kilos of debris, continually showing we are the best in the business, but proving Australia has a lot to do in stopping it at the source. Yesterday the team hit Oxley Creek thanks to funding from Oxley Creek Catchment Assoc removing the usual tyres, street debris and illegally dumped debris. Huge effort by all.
