NewDirection Care is a residential community for the elderly and for those living with younger onset dementia and complex care needs.

NewDirection Care is the world’s first microtown™ inclusive community that provides freedom of movement, independence and choice for the elderly and those living with a diagnosis of dementia. It is a place where residents can enjoy fulfilling and happy lives beyond diagnosis—socialising, staying active, pursuing hobbies and continuing to play a role in the community. Winner of the 2021 innovAGEING Enhancing Consumer Experience award, our community is perfectly located between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. It is a $35 million residential care microtown™ expertly designed and offering state of the art living that’s focused around you. Although this level of care, lifestyle and luxury may seem unattainable in aged care for all but the wealthiest in our community, NewDirection Care at Bellmere is open to everyone with an ACAT assessment, including those who are supported by government. At NewDirection Care we know that what really makes a home are those that live with you. We all have our own wants and needs yet living with like-minded people is possible when we share similar core values, interests, hobbies and lifestyles. To assist you with this we use a cutting-edge profiling tool that draws out an individual’s social world-view and personality traits with a particular focus on factors that influence living and interacting with others. This means that you will live with like-minded people.

We'd love to introduce Carla, our wonderful Café Assistant here at NewDirection Care! Since joining us in June 2026, Carla has quickly become a cherished member of our team, known for her friendly smile, caring nature, and willingness to always go the extra mile.

Whether she's serving up a great coffee, making delicious muffins, sharing a friendly chat, or helping wherever she's needed, Carla brings warmth and positivity to every day. Her dedication to creating a welcoming experience for our residents, families, and visitors truly shines through.

As the weather is a bit undecided, our residents are making the most of the beautiful days with great company, delicious food, and engaging activities. From sharing laughs over morning tea and enjoying time outdoors, to creative sessions, entertainment, and special gatherings, there's always something to look forward to at NewDirection Care.

We love seeing our community come together, creating meaningful connections and making wonderful memories as we embrace the brighter days ahead. ☀️💛

Bring your little ghosts, ghouls, and superheroes along for a spooktacular afternoon of Halloween dress-up fun! 👻✨

Our wonderful residents are so excited to get dressed up, see all of your amazing costumes, and hand out delicious treats to the kids! It’s one of our favorite days of the year, bringing joy, smiles, and community spirit to everyone involved.

📍 Where: NewDirection Care - 41 Lotus Ave, Bellmere

🗓️ When: Saturday, October 31st

⏰ Time: 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM

🪙 Entry: Gold coin (to help us cover event costs & keep the sweet treats flowing!)

From fun-filled moments with our Kindy Kids and a fun game of Bingo, it's been a great start to the week here at NDC! We have included some cozy cinema sessions and creative scrapbooking and Melbourne Cup hat making classes.. so far it's been a week full of smiles, connection and great memories at NewDirection Care. 💙

Welcome to one of our new House Companions, Anne! We are so lucky to have you up and running and on board in our NewDirection Care Family..

With over 5 years of experience in the disability sector, Anne brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and dedication to supporting others. Her warm and friendly nature, combined with a fantastic sense of humour, makes her a wonderful addition to our team and community.

We're excited for our residents, families, and team members to get to know Anne and experience the kindness, laughter, and positivity she brings each day. She has already proven to be an asset in the houses - with many fans in such a short time.

Another wonderful week at NewDirection Care! We loved welcoming our Kindy Kids back for a morning of puzzles, games and special intergenerational connections. Residents also enjoyed a cheerful Happy Hour, and an elegant High Tea this week! We continued to deliver creative art and cinema sessions that kept everyone engaged and entertained, including Armchair travel to Madagascar, oil painting hosted by a talented resident and Halloween Themed movies! We're also excited to welcome Julie to our Lifestyle Team, and we look forward to the energy, ideas and care she will bring to our community. 💜 This also means more opportunity for our wonderful residents to engage in our activities timetable across the entire week again.

Our residents have been making the most of the beautiful spring weather with refreshing walks, enjoying meaningful coffee dates, and heading out for fun cinema experiences filled with laughter, connection, and great conversation. ☕🎬🌸

Behind the scenes, excitement is also building as we prepare for a month of Halloween-themed fun leading up to our much-anticipated Annual Halloween Event on 31st October! From spooky decorations and creative activities to plenty of treats and surprises, there's lots of excitement on the horizon.
