🌼 After 18 wonderful months, I have made the decision to step down as Playgroup Coordinator. 🌼

I would like to say a huge thank you to all the families, volunteers, committee members, and community members who have supported playgroup during my time in the role. 💛

It has been such a privilege to be part of creating a welcoming space where children can play, learn, explore, and make friendships, while families connect and support one another. 🧸🎨📚☀️

I have loved being part of so many special moments and watching our playgroup community grow. 🌱💕 Seeing children gain confidence, make friends, and have fun each week has been incredibly rewarding. 🥰

While I am moving on from this role, I know playgroup will continue to be a wonderful part of our community, and I wish the team all the very best for the future. 🌈✨

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey, whether you attended once or have been with us for years. Your support has meant so much. 💐🤗

🌿 Thank You, Bellingen Community 💛 🌿
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended today’s AGM. Your time, care and willingness to show up for our playgroup means so much.
We are especially grateful to those who have offered to volunteer and help with running the playgroup — your support helps keep this beautiful community space alive for local families 🌈🧸
As many of you know, we are still seeking people to step into the official committee roles (Coordinator, Secretary, Treasurer and General Members). Without a committee, the playgroup sadly can’t continue — and after so many years serving Bellingen families, it would be such a loss to our community.
If you have ever enjoyed playgroup, plan to attend in the future, or simply value having a welcoming space for families in our town, please consider getting involved. The roles can be shared and the tasks are manageable — and you won’t be doing it alone.
Community playgroup belongs to all of us 💛
If you’d like to be part of keeping it going, please reach out.

🌈 Playgroup Reminder – Tomorrow! 🌈
Just a reminder that Bellingen Community Playgroup is on tomorrow
🗓 Wednesday
⏰ 9:30–11:30am
We will also be holding our AGM during playgroup time, where we’ll be discussing the future of the playgroup and the need for new committee members.
The roles can be very minimal and shared, and without volunteers the playgroup will unfortunately have to close — something we’d be heartbroken to see after so many years supporting local families 💛

I wanted to share a fundraiser for a family some of you may remember from our playgroup. Gladys and Nick, along with their three children, used to attend here and may be familiar to many of you. They have tragically lost their home and all their belongings in the recent Harcourt fires.

💛 Important Update – Bellingen Community Playgroup 💛
Bellingen Community Playgroup has been running for many years, providing a warm and welcoming space for families every Wednesday morning from 9:30–11:30am. It has been a real privilege to be part of this journey.
I’d like to let the community know that I will be stepping down from my role as coordinator, and the rest of the current committee will also be stepping down. Because of this, we will be holding an AGM on Wednesday 11th February to discuss the future of the playgroup and to seek new committee members so the playgroup can continue.
The committee positions available are: • Coordinator
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• General committee members
It’s important to know that these roles do not need to be large or overwhelming. Tasks can be minimal and shared, such as: • opening and setting up
• packing away at the end of the session
• minimal banking
• maintaining and caring for resources
For anyone who feels more motivated or inspired, there is also opportunity to do more — such as applying for grants, updating resources, fundraising, or helping shape the future of the playgroup — but this is completely optional.
Sadly, if we are unable to find volunteers to form a new committee, the playgroup will no longer be able to continue. Given how long it has been running, this would be a real loss for the community.
If you value this space, have attended in the past, or feel you may be able to help in any capacity — even a small one, we would love for you to come along to the AGM or reach out for a chat.
