The importance of 'feel' when practicing

Members are being encouraged to look at various training exercises, understand the aims of the exercise & channel their energy accordingly.

Goals might include:
* Agility
* Relaxation
* Trust in your technique
* Awareness
* Balance........ and the list goes on

Examples of exercises with points, to name a few are: Sparring Seiza (correct formal sitting) Kihon otherwise known as Basics; and Kata
Remember exercise have purpose. Look for it and benefit.

Developing 'feel' in our karate practice is progressing nicely. But more on that later.

Kicks - Keri Waza

When most people think of karate, they usually think 'karate chop' or high kicks. In reality though, there's no need for kicks to be head height to be effective.

Nishiyama Sensei's demonstration of a low side kick looks pretty effective to me.

Just keep in mind that kicks, should be directed at the target best for our own Self Defence.

Let's discuss further in the dojo. πŸ‘πŸ˜‰πŸ₯‹
