Karate 'games' - Improve your reaction

As can be seen from this video, Naka Sensei (who we have trained with in Tokyo, Melbourne & Auckland), is such an interesting karate teacher.

When training he has interesting as well as challenging exercises, to help improve our karate.

A BIG thing for us all to keep in mind is 'what is this exercise trying to achieve'? And then put your attention in that area of practice.

When looking at the example being demonstrated, ie the strike to the throat, I am 100% seeing Jitte kata.

Sensei Graham's Karate Teacher - Kato Shihan

Senior members of Fuji Dojo will remember Sensei Graham. Over the years he has visited us, taught at the dojo, instructed at our Summer Camp and been a tremendously positive influence that has helped us whenever possible.

Where he lives in the UK, he has access to The Best karate instruction. Yet, the one person he rates as this favourite Sensei, is Kato Shihan.
