Bellinger Valley Historical Society The Bellinger Valley Historical Society is a community based organisation run by volunteers. We have two museums located in Bellingen and Urunga.

As part of the upgrade of Urunga CBD the BSC is looking for information about the pine trees in Bonville St, beside the school. The trees are heritage listed and man called John Wheen was involved in the planting process. Does anyone in the community know anything about this man?

It is very sad to announce the passing of our treasured volunteer John Scott. John has been volunteering at the BVHS for well over 10 years. His contribution was incredible, always available for whatever task was at hand. Taking minutes, preparing for the show, looking after the BVHS stand at many events, and of course, dressing up in weird costumes for parades. John would help train new volunteers in the protocol of opening the museum and he continued opening the Urunga Museum two days a week till very recently. Thank you John, you will be sadly missed.
