🎺 Tyee Band Lights Up Friday Night! 🏈

On Friday night, October 9, the Tyee Band was invited to join the Newport and Tillicum Bands for an exciting football rally! Our students got a taste of what it’s like to be part of a high school marching band, bringing music, energy, and school spirit to game night on the field.

The evening was filled with cheers, personality, and plenty of excitement! What a fun opportunity for our Tyee musicians to experience the energy of a Friday night football game and share in the excitement of marching band life. Way to go, Tyee Band! 💙🎶

And don’t forget to match your volunteer hours to Amplify Tyee to make an even bigger impact!

As our school district continues to face budget cuts, it has become increasingly challenging to maintain the high-quality music and performing arts programs our students deserve. Many essential expenses are no longer covered by district funding, making additional financial support more important than ever.

Amplify Tyee is a nonprofit organization created to help bridge this funding gap and support Tyee’s Band, Orchestra, Choir, and Drama programs, ensuring that our students continue to have wonderful opportunities in music and the performing arts. 🎶

🎵 Our fundraising goal this year is $20,000!

Of that amount, $15,000 will go directly toward Teacher Grants of $5,000 each for our three music teachers. These grants help teachers replace aging instruments, purchase choir stoles, obtain scripts for drama productions, and provide other essential classroom resources.

The remaining $5,000 will support transportation for events, teacher professional development, guest clinicians, and other program-related expenses.

So far, we’ve raised $1,200, and we still have a long way to go to reach our goal!

We encourage every family to contribute whatever amount feels comfortable. Every donation, big or small, truly makes a difference! ❤️

The Tyee marching band delivered an exceptional performance today at the annual Issaquah Salmon Days Festival Parade. Taking place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, the parade is a beloved local tradition, and the band’s high-energy performance stood out as a major highlight of the morning.

Marching alongside more than 100 unique community floats, local organizations, and Grand Marshal Bryan Clay, the band brought incredible energy to the festival's kickoff events. Congratulations to all the musicians for representing the program so beautifully and bringing great pride to the community!
