Creating connection and community for 18-30’s in Belconnen and Bruce. Ever noticed it’s easier to talk when you’re doing something?

Connect Up is a program developed by and for locals to help those aged 18 to 30s who live, work or study in the Belconnen region to meet others and share experiences. Connect Up offers a mix of activities for people aged 18 to 30s: some high-energy, some low-key, all designed to help you meet others naturally. No pressure to commit to every week, just moments to connect with others, create and sha

re experiences, and feel part of a community. That’s because shared focus takes the pressure off! We’ve got plenty of group activities each week to help you ease in. Take a look at our weekly events to find out more and register. Connect Up is a local initiative run by Capital Regional Community Service (CRCS) and developed by the University of Canberra’s Health Research Institute (HRI). The program strengthens social connection among 18–39 year olds who live, work, or study in the Belconnen region.

Announcing: Social Pickleball 🥳🏓🥳

Launching this Saturday, as first new social group of 2026! If you’re a pickleball pro or curious to try it out, come by on Saturday to have a rally 😊

Weekly on Saturdays, 1pm-3pm at the Belconnen Community Centre.

A gold coin entry fee will be required upon arrival, this will go towards venue hire fees and ensures sustainability of the event.
This fee will also be in effect for Social Badminton as of April 15th.

Our amazing volunteer Ami is super welcoming and experienced to show you the ropes on how to start your nature journaling journey.

This was my first time going and I loved it so much more than I was expecting, definitely worth at least giving a go!

A huge thank you to CITSA and everyone who came along to yesterday’s Connect Up Festival at CIT Bruce!

It was fantastic to see so many students getting involved, meeting new people and kicking off O‑Week with energy and creativity.

From badminton rallies and board game battles to nature journaling on the hill, trivia laughs and learning new tabletop games — you helped make the day a fun, welcoming and memorable start to the semester.

A special shoutout to those who stopped by the Connect Up O‑Day market stall. We loved chatting with you!
