Improve your speaking and leadership skills! We aim to be the friendlienst and the most supportive club! We operate in a hybrid mode - in person or virtually.

Guests are welcome! Contact us here, on our website or register through Eventbrite. Join our zoom meetings every second and fourth Tuesday of the month. We meet at Kippax library every second Tuesday of the month face to face but we offer the option to join the meeting via zoom as well, because we have a few interstate members. 🎤 Evaluation Contest tomorrow evening 1 October!

Our meeting on 17 September brought two very different topics to the stage, presented by two of our experienced members.
🤖 How can AI improve our work performance?
One speaker shared thoughts and experiences about using AI in the workplace, exploring how this technology can support us in working more effectively and improving our performance.
💡 How can we stay alert when our blood pressure is low?
Our second speaker brought a very different personal topic, sharing experiences and ideas about staying alert and active despite low blood pressure.
👏 Two different stories, but both gave us something valuable to think about — and another great opportunity to practise listening, speaking and learning from each other.

🌱 WE HAVE NEXT MEETING TOMORROW EVENING: 7.30 PM 17 SEPTEMBER

Our last meeting was an exciting Table Topics Contest, where contestants were challenged to give an impromptu speech after receiving an unexpected topic or question.

👏 Congratulations to Quynh Nguyen, who was selected as the winner of our club contest! Quynh will now represent Kippax Toastmasters and compete at the next level of the Toastmasters competition. We wish Quynh all the best and look forward to supporting her in the next stage! 🎉

It was a great evening of quick thinking, creativity and public speaking. Thank you to all contestants, members and guests who contributed to making the contest enjoyable and supportive. 🙌

🌟 Introducing Our New Club President
We would also like to take this opportunity to introduce Onur, our new Kippax Toastmasters Club President for 2026–2027 (see her energetic smile below). We wish her a successful and enjoyable term leading our club! 👏

📚 Back to Our Regular Meeting Tomorrow!
After the excitement of the contest, we are returning to our regular meeting format tomorrow evening, with prepared speeches, Table Topics, evaluations and other opportunities to practise public speaking.

💻 Special Education Session: Pathways
We will also have an additional education session about Toastmasters Pathways. This session will guide members through how to use and update their online Pathways program.

📣 Tomorrow at Kippax Toastmasters: A Special Table Topics Contest!

🌟 Highlights from Our 20 August Meeting

We had another enjoyable evening full of learning, laughter and public speaking practice.

🎤 Two experienced speakers shared their speeches with us, bringing valuable ideas and experiences to the meeting.

😂 Table Topics also brought many hilarious moments, as members responded to unexpected questions and showed their creativity and quick thinking in impromptu speeches.

🏆 We were also happy to celebrate the achievements of some of our members who have completed their latest Pathways projects. Congratulations to them on reaching another milestone in their Toastmasters journey! Images below are some highlights of the celebrations 👏🎉

Every meeting reminds us that public speaking is a skill that grows through practice, encouragement and learning from each other.

📢 Next Meeting: This Thursday, 20 August | 7:30–9:00 pm

✨ Looking back at our last meeting!

Two weeks ago, we had another enjoyable and inspiring Toastmasters meeting, with members sharing valuable stories and creative ideas. Images below are some highlights of the meeting.

🎤 We enjoyed three great prepared speeches:
🌱 A meaningful story about tolerance and embracing others.
😴 A thoughtful reflection on finding the balance for good sleep.
🚿 A hilarious and creative reflection on a Toastmasters meeting through different items found in a bathroom!

💡 In Table Topics, members were challenged to make impromptu speeches using two given words. They responded quickly and intelligently, turning unexpected words into interesting and sometimes hilarious stories!

👏 We also enjoyed constructive evaluation speeches, with members giving useful feedback to help each other improve.

Every meeting is a chance to speak, listen, learn and support each other.

📢 **Next Meeting: Tomorrow | 7:30–9:00 pm at the Whitlam Room, Belconnen Labor Club**

Our last meeting was a wonderful Special Guest Meeting, where our members' family members and friends joined us to experience what Toastmasters is all about. It was a great opportunity to see how Toastmasters helps people build confidence, improve communication skills, and support each other in public speaking.

We also enjoyed three inspiring prepared speeches:
🎤 A personal journey of growing confidence through Toastmasters participation.
👶 The meaningful stories behind children's names and the hopes they carry.
🌏 A long adventure of discovering an individual's ability to mentor and support others.

Together with engaging Table Topics, thoughtful evaluations, and a welcoming atmosphere, the meeting showed how every member learns and grows through practice and constructive feedback. Thank you to everyone who attended and made the evening so enjoyable.

Tomorrow evening is our Special Guest Meeting!

📢 Next meeting: Thursday, 23 July at Belconnen Labor Club

At our last meeting, we enjoyed great speeches from our members, who used personal stories to share valuable lessons in smart spending and goal setting. Members and a guest also delivered humorous and thoughtful impromptu speeches in Table Topics and contributed to other meeting roles. The photos below capture some of its highlights.

The meeting also marked the beginning of the 2026-2027 Toastmasters year, with our new club officers taking on their roles and doing well. A big thank you to our 2025-2026 club officers for their great teamwork and valuable contributions to our club’s growth. We wish our club a successful new term and look forward to seeing more members grow in confidence and public speaking.

Due to temporary change in the venue leasing schedule, our next meeting will be held on the 4th Thursday, 23 July, instead of our usual 3rd Thursday, 16 July. After the meeting, our regular schedule will return to the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month.
