Hillgrove House Auxiliary will again be making Anzac Wreaths. A tradition that has been going for many years as Auxiliary members, plus community volunteers come together to create the Anzac Wreaths.
It takes many volunteers, plus flower donations to ensure we can continue.
If you would like to try your hand at floral art, you would be very welcome at Hillgrove House from 8.30am on Friday April 24th. Entry is via Hill Street.
The money raised from the sale of the wreaths is donated to Hillgrove house for purchase of additional equipment for the comfort of the residents and staff. The cost of each wreath is $50.
If you would like to order a wreath, please order by Monday April 20th. Orders can be placed by calling Cate on 0429941896 or email [email protected]
Donations of flowers and foliage are also requested. These can be dropped at Hillgrove on 24th April from 8am via Hill Street.
If you have flowers etc that need to be picked up, call Helen Slater for Bega on 0427 339 064 or Cate Clarke on 0429941896 for the Tathra area.

We would like to acknowledge the commitment and passion of Helen Slater in a lifetime of volunteering!
Helen was the recipient of the Bega Local Woman of The Year 2026 award, and was presented with a commemorative certificate, at a gala event in Sydney, by Dr Michael Holland.
It was our pleasure to celebrate with Helen today at a morning tea hosted by Dr Holland, in Bega.
Helen has been the president of the Hillgrove House Auxiliary for over 20 years and served on the Hillgrove House Board prior to that.
Helen is tireless in her commitment to Sapphire Coast Community Aged Care and we are thrilled to be able to share this very special occasion with her.
A well deserving recognition of a truly wonderful woman!

Yesterday was a proud moment for Sapphire Coast Community Aged Care.
6 amazing candidates were among the graduating class receiving their Bachelor of Nursing at UOW Bega Campus, who had entered into their studies through SCCAC traineeship, labour workforce program and local employment.
We would like to congratulate Lily, Ana, Millett, Jade, Maria and Mia on your achievement and we are proud to have been, in some small way, a part of your journey.

Happy Aged Care Employee Day 2025
Thank you to each and every staff member for the contribution you make to Sapphire Coast Community Aged Care.

Each year on the 12th May, we celebrate a very special day, International Nurses Day. SCCAC celebrated this day with an afternoon tea at both Imlay House and Hillgrove House. Our residents and fellow staff took the opportunity to express their gratitude to all our nurses for their dedication and hard work. Their invaluable contributions to our residents and our community are very much appreciated. Thank you Nurses!
