Another weekend, another orientation in the books for Rotex ✌🏼

Our new members have started their journeys at their first orientation as Rotex! We don’t have much content to share as we were so busy! 🏃🏼‍♂️‍➡️🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️

We had a great time sharing our RYE alumni ✨words of wisdom✨ with all the new inbound and outbound students in District 9790!

What an experience 🩵🐋 ( ft Rotex Co-President Tegan )

A group of short-term Rotary Youth Exchange students being hosted by Rotary Clubs in Rotary District 9790 (parts of Victoria and NSW) and Rotary District 9640 (Northern NSW and Southern Queensland) is currently visiting Airlie Beach to experience some of the wonders of the Whitsundays. Members of Rotary Airlie had the opportunity to meet these wonderful students over dinner last night. The students, from European countries such as Germany, France, Italy and Finland, are in Australia for 2 - 3 months. While in the Whitsundays they took the Cruise Whitsundays trip to the Reef, enjoyed the Whitsunday Crocodile Safari and a trip with Rafting - as well as enjoying some of the Great Barrier Reef Festival events and our special sunsets. Nice to meet you all, and enjoy the rest of your Aussie experiences!

This weekend some of our newer Rotex members had the chance to chaperone a weekend in Canberra with our inbound students!

They’ve had a blast experiencing the city 🏙️, learning new skills, and saying goodbye to our 2023-2024 inbounds 💙 Nice work guys! 💛

It’s National Volunteer Week! Today we are sharing some pictures from the archives of members new and old 💫

We would love to say a massive thank you to all of our members who are currently active in Rotex 9790! Your time given and efforts made are much appreciated.

In saying this, we would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to the Rotex members who came before us and created the incredible foundation for our association as we know it today. Your input and time was valued, and you made us Rotex 9790 ✨

As always, we would like to also thank our incredible RYE Committee Rotary Youth Exchange 9790, who provide the driving force and passion to run the program we all know and love.

Rotary is an organisation run by volunteers all over the world. Without all of the volunteers and their great efforts and generosity - none of us would have had the experiences we did. Rotary and its volunteers have shaped all of us in Rotex, and have provided us numerous ways to give back to our communities, both at home and globally 🌎

While our membership may change, and Rotex may look different year to year, all contributions by volunteers are very much appreciated 🤍💛💙

We are looking for a student aged 15-16 who would like to immerse themselves in beautiful French culture, and master a new language, whilst making lifelong friendships and memories.

You need to be committed to immersing yourself into the lives, language, customs and culture for 12 months.
