It’s not just about what we do, but about understanding the how and the why ✨
In the age of AI, critical thinking is not only desperately needed, but an act or resistance ✊🏾

Our YAG has been working hard on the inception stage of their event planning - what do we want to do? what do local young people need? what enablers do we have to achieve that?

Get ready for an announcement at the start of next term, something big is coming 🤩🙌🏾

👉🏾 When young people are actively involved in shaping the world around them, they can begin to see themselves as capable agents of change 💥

The ISC Youth Advisory Group (YAG) started through a grant funded project in February 2023.
Today, much has changed. But the desire to enable opportunities for young people to lead, hasn’t ✊🏾

Today, two young people who have participated in the ISC Youth Advisory Group sat in a panel discussing extreme weather in NE Vic, its impacts and local solutions for communities. Well done Rachel and Mieke!!! 👏🏾

Our Youth Advisory Group has been receiving training and guidance to better advocate for young people in the region. These photos reflect one of those wonderful training experiences that we embarked on. Thank you Trudi from Words for Change for an epic session!

We’d love to extend these programs to all community members. Do you want to be part of future training opportunities? Reach out via DM or email us at [email protected]

Mental health upkeep revolves around conversation, self-care, openness, and supportive environments. That’s why our YAG wanted to do the Mental Health Essentials course with 💥

All participants said they felt better prepared to start conversations and check on peers and family after the training. Together we can help drop the stigma surrounding mental health.

How are you doing today? ✨🙏🏾 we’re sending love your way
