Spanish Music on the Guitar
Wednesday 19th August 2.30-4.30pm Station.
Strings of Spain: A Four-Century Journey - with local classical guitarist, Stephan Bulmer

Step back in time for an intimate musical tour through four defining eras of Spanish cultural history—Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, and Romantic.

Unlike standard classical concerts, this performance features exclusively original music written directly for fretted instruments. No arrangements, no transcriptions—just the pure, authentic voice of Spain as its composers intended.

Complete with brief, insightful historical vignettes introducing each era, this program offers a rich appreciation of how Spain's vibrant culture shaped its iconic musical traditions.

It has been an interesting Term 2 at U3A. A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of a talk by Dr Helen Haines MP for Indi. Helen explained the advantages of being an Independent candidate in Parliament. To be able to represent her constituents completely and not be governed by a party stance. Without forgetting how keen the government and shadow parties want to talk to independents at voting time !!! I think I can say on behalf of all present that it was definitely no political spiel, but truly a chance to meet Indi residents and make sure all are aware we will be heard by Helen as our Federal representative.

FIRE EXTINGUISHER TRAINING SESSION
WHEN: MONDAY 20 APRIL 2-3PM
VENUE- BEECHWORTH FIRE STATION

We recently put our tutors through this training, and we all gained so much more understanding. We have these extinguishers/blankets in our homes / workplace / caravan, but do you know how to use these correctly.
Hannah, from Beechworth Fire Brigade will be leading this training to show how to use these correctly, what kind of extinguisher will put out what types of fires. Learn how to safely and efficiently use these, and understand when it is safe to use, or leave to the professionals.
