National Volunteer Week feels like the right time to ask.

The City of Gosnells Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade is made up of everyday people, tradies, teachers, parents, retirees, young professionals, who share one thing in common. They wanted to make a difference in their community and they took the step to do something about it.

You do not need experience. You do not need a specific background. You just need to show up and be willing to learn. We will do the rest.

As a volunteer with our brigade you will:
✅Train with some of the most experienced firefighters in WA
✅Be part of a team that has your back, on the fireground and off it
✅Make a real, tangible difference to the safety of your community
✅And make friendships that last a lifetime
We are always looking for new members across all roles, operational firefighters, support roles, and everything in between.

If you have been thinking about it, stop thinking and come and have a chat. We would love to meet you. We welcome anyone interested in finding out more to come down to the station from 7pm on Monday nights. No appointment needed, just turn up and one of our members will be happy to answer your questions and show you around.

To every single member of the City of Gosnells Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade - the ones who show up on training nights after long days at work, the ones who leave family dinners to respond to a call, the ones who have given years and decades of their lives to keeping this community safe.

You do not do it for the recognition. You do it because you care. And this community is safer, stronger, and better because of you.
National Volunteer Week is a chance for the rest of us to say what you already know, that what you do matters. Enormously.

To our volunteers past and present, from the bottom of our hearts: thank you. 🙏

And to anyone out there who has ever thought about volunteering with us - this is your week. This is your year. We would love to have you.

🚒 COLLECTION DAY IS NEARING AND WE'RE COMING FOR YOUR LOOSE CHANGE! 🚒🔥

Perth, are you ready?

This Friday 15 May, over 100 volunteer bush firefighters will be taking over the streets of the CBD for our Annual Metropolitan Bush Fire Brigade Street Appeal!

We're coming in uniform, with big smiles, and an even bigger goal, to raise funds that help our local brigades stay trained, equipped, and ready to protect communities across WA.

And yes, before you ask... 💳 WE NOW ACCEPT EFTPOS.

🎄🚒 We had such a wonderful time at the Thornlie Farmers Market last weekend – thank you to everyone who stopped by, said hello, and donated toys for the Salvation Army Gosnells Corp. Your generosity is already making a difference ❤️.

We’ll be back again this Saturday, 13 December, continuing our toy drive 🎁✨. Santa will also be joining us from 9am to 11am, ready to share some festive cheer with the kids (and the kids at heart!).

If you missed us last time, this is another chance to drop by, enjoy the market, and help us fill the sleigh with joy. Every little bit adds up, and together we can make Christmas brighter for local families.

This Saturday, 6 December, we’ll be at the Thornlie Farmers Market collecting toy donations for the Salvation Army Gosnells Corp 🎁✨. It’s a wonderful chance to spread some joy to local families in need this Christmas.

And guess what… 🎅 Santa is coming along too! He’ll be with us from 9am to 11am – so bring the kids, say hello, snap a photo, and share the festive spirit with us.

We’d love to see you there, whether you’re dropping off a toy, grabbing some goodies from the market, or just stopping by for a chat. Together, we can make a big difference ❤️.
