Last week was homelessness awareness week. A time to recognise that homelessness looks different for everyone.

It is not just sleeping rough. It can look like staying in crisis accommodation or couch surfing while waiting for a permanent place to call your own. Homelessness is often hidden, but happening in our communities everyday.

Awareness doesn’t end when the week does. Let’s keep the conversations going, because every young person deserves a safe place to call home!

📣 WE NEED YOUR HELP 📣

Researchers at Curtin University want to improve the way mental health is assessed for children with spoken language difficulties.

Who?
🟠 Young people (11–14 years) who have spoken language difficulties (e.g., difficulties with understanding and/or using words, sentences, or discourse) and have had their mental health assessed
🟠 Their parents
🟠 Clinicians who work with the language or mental health needs of these young people

What?
🟢 A short online background survey (approx. 10 minutes)
🟢 An online interview with the young person, parent and/or clinician (approx. 1 hour)
🟢 A free oral language assessment
🟢 Everyone who participates receives a gift voucher
