Beaconsfield Progress Association BPA

Beaconsfield Progress Association BPA BPA is a voluntary organisation representing the interests of residents and businesses of Beaconsfield; liaising with government and non-government bodies.

Welcome to the page of the Beaconsfield Progress Association formally representing the community of Beaconsfield, Victoria, Australia. This page is operated for the local community, by BPA volunteers, and is an adjunct to the official website (below) operated by the Beaconsfield Progress Association which, along with the Beaconsfield Banner, is a means for local residents and business to

discuss issues relating to the township. The Beaconsfield Banner is a free community newspaper published quarterly by the BPA with a distribution of about 2600 copies. Like the Association itself, it is organised and published by a dedicated group of volunteers and funded by local advertising. You can contact the Banner at [email protected]. Beaconsfield township is located 46km south-east of the Melbourne Central Business District on the Old Princes Highway. We are a semi-rural township in Melbourne's fringe south-east. The main street shopping strip and light industry is on the Old Princes Highway. We have three schools; Beaconsfield Kindergarten, Beaconsfield Primary School and St Francis Xavier College (and only 10 minutes from the Monash University Berwick Campus). Also in Beaconsfield you'll find nice parks and recreation areas, the Central Hotel and Beaconsfield Lodge Motel, CFA Fire Station, Ambulance service, Beaconsfield Railway Station, Post Office, Beaconsfield Community Complex, many fine restaurants and take away food outlets and much more. We hope you enjoy this page and hope you become a fan. Please note that this is a site for advising the community on local information/issues. It is a community consultation tool. Please feel free to comment appropriately :)
